Started in 2023, A Queer-y of Faith is a podcast dedicated to the intersection of religion and spirituality with gender and sexuality. The podcast is a space to uplift individuals who are interested in sharing their story of joy, rage, curiosity, and redemption when it comes to the clash between two very taboo subjects.
Which we aim to create this space for storytelling, the podcast is almost meant to uplift the important wisdom and work that moves our communities forward. This is why we've chosen to call this a "mutual aid podcast" which provides small honoraria to speakers who are invited to speak on our platform while amplifying their work and work of BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, communities, and organizations dedicated to achieving justice and equity for the most marginalized in our society.

Episode 2: Vasu Bandhu (he/him)
Vasu Bandhu serves on the International Youth Committee of Religions for Peace International, and on the North American Leadership Council of the United Religions Initiative. He serves the Buddhist community as Maha Shuru in the Dhammapada Sangha (Zen Buddhism). He is Mexican and has immigrated to the United States to live with his husband, creating an interfaith family, since his husband’s practice is Islam, while his practice is Buddhism.
